Entry 43 Discussion

I don't have much to say about the majority of the video. My focus is going to be on the last minute or so, i.e. the Unwilling Possession of Alex Kralie.

First off, he goes into the woods alone, which he told of Jay for doing so in Entry 42. He stumbles upon the Operator, but unlike Jay, he apparently cannot run away. He falls, he coughs, the camera distorts, he gets up and walks towards the Operator.

I can only assume that he's been possessed. What do you think for?

OH. FUCK.

And yes, I think he's been possessed. Plausible proxy?

Maybe this leads into the ominous-Alex video?

Also: we know why J was in the hotel. Plus, we know how Jessica is involved in all of this, too.

...Who's hoping we see Alex impaled in a tree?

Otherwise I would imagine Alex really is evil and working for Slendy in some fashion.

I shat brix when I saw it was the same hotel. How is Jessica involved? I didn't catch that.

Alex D: Seriously, I was waiting for something like that to happen in this entry at any second, but the way it happened made me jump.

I don't think he was turned into a proxy per se...but...uh, more like a sleeper agent-ish? Even I don't understand what I'm trying to say.

Either way, Alex knows Jessica. The pieces are there but I'm still so confused

Remember in the early stories how people felt drawn towards Slender Man? I think that's what happened to Alex... I think Slender Man finally got him.

And holy...! Jessica is Amy's roommate. I did not see that coming. Then again, I was under the impression that Alex was living with Amy.

Damn you Marble Hornets, why must you always do this to me? By now I really should be expecting shit like that to happen at the end of the video. But no, it still always manages to make me jump.

And dammit, I'm not sure whether this kills my Sinclair=Jessica theory or not.

One thing I didn't understand was when Alex points to a window and says "thats were we jumped out". Im not sure what he was talking about... probably a noodle incident to be answered another time.

As for the ending I was expecting another "slenderman, faint, end", But then...

Shit just got real.

In my opinion, the most unsettling parts of the series are the interactions between Jay and Alex now. Sure, the Slender Man can be creepy at times, but he's become more of a point of interest for me than a fear factor. The silence between the two speaks VOLUMES. Every time Jay and Alex get together, you can cut the tension with a knife. Jay sacrificed his societal life to find Alex, who immediately treats him as a threat and "Too Dumb To Live" when the Operator is involved. Alex feels at his wit's end and Jay's genre dumb attitude is making it worse, so he doesn't appreciate Jay's support and commitment.

The Slender Man is a bonus at times.

Well. I was frightened. I didn't scream like a little girl this time, But I did cringe. It was an interesting entry. More eventful, which I liked. I wish it wasn't just in the end. Maybe have his peek out the top window a tad would have been neat. Anyway, Congrats MH guys. You've got me interested again.

I was clutching at WhiteWolf a bit, but seriously. I'd love to see Slendy doing crazier stuff than just standing there. He does it well, mind you, but still...

Oh boy, could I feel any more sorry for Alex. This poor kid is all slender mind-screwed and at worst he's dead. At best he's slender-fluenced.
Or is it the other way around?

I don't think that Alex was exploring an unknown place in the woods either. I think that his "house" was actually that place in the woods. Hence why he didn't want Jay to follow him. He might have been under slendys control for longer than we thought. I keep thinking back to entry 38 where Alex is all creepy mysterious with the spooky story while hiking. Thats kinda an odd piece to the puzzle that doesn't quite fit. Unless entry 38 is after entry 43, chronologically speaking.
Maybe Alex was lureing Jay to his doom but somehow he got away and escaped to the Hotel. All the while he mind is all kershuffled and he dosent remember anything. Maybe Amy and Jessica where there too and Jay got a chance to save Jessica but not Amy. Hence why she's at the hotel and in a room next to Jay.
Also is that body camera Jay woke up with actually Alex's?
Sorry my mind is running a million miles a minuet here.

Well, after watching that again, I have found what appears to be a... face. I thought I had seen something like it in Entry #40, as well as previous entries, but I didn't mention anything because I didn't want to get flamed or anything like that. I don't think it's just poor editing... I think the Marble Hornets crew made this intentional. Why? Well, I also found some faded writing in the background at the end. So, I took a screenshot of the image and I did my best to bring out the faded face and writing. The results are... horrifying...
