| Team Remiel are now based out of Slender Falls and, with JW's around to provide quick transit, they can appear anywhere they're needed. They are:
"Ursula", Special Agent Bernadette Franklin. Ursula works for the American equivilent to the department, an secret agency called the TLA. However to maintain secrecy she usually identifies herself as FBI or DHS, providing legitimate identification for either. She'll introduce the rest of the team as being from "Scotland Yard" or "MI6" depending on what cover she's using herself.
She is 35 years old, pale skin, hazel eyes, light ginger hair. 5 foot 8 and of average build.
Ursula comes across as cold, angry and unreadable; dour and robot-like but is actually a romantic able to remain cheerful in the face of endless darkness. Her outward demeanour is a manifestation of her paranormal abilities.
She comes from Belfast, Maine. She is Irish American, possibly of a Sidhe bloodline.
Like many TLA agents Ursula possesses a paranormal ability. Ursula is a psychometrist, that is she can gain information psychically from any objects she handles or the environment around her. Her ability is strong and reliable. However she does not suffer from the overload problem experienced by most strong and reliable psychometrists. Her psychometric experiences do not overwhelm her with emotions and “visions”. She describes it more like watching an engaging movie or listening to a good radio play; she gains all the pertinent information but does not experience it as direct emotions. A side effect of this is that it takes more time for her to gain the information, Whereas a typical Psychometrist would gain all the information in a matter of moments and then have to make sense of it Ursula gets the information much more slowly and can make sense of it as she does so. It is noteworthy that other TLA psychics have also reported that Ursula has an unusually resilient mind, perhaps even invulnerable.
"Hermione", Junior Officer Erika Singleton. Hermione is a department witch and dramaturge-in-training, a graduate of "McGonnagle's Academy" in the Scottish highlands.
She is 19 years old, caucasian, blond hair and blue eyes. 5 foot 9 and slender build.
Hermione is a dutiful department officer, who is more than capable of violence whenever the need presents itself. However she gets no pleasure from it nor desires acclaim, She is secure in the knowledge that she does what needs to be done as efficiently as possible.
"Dictionary", Officer Alexander Webster. Dictionary is a potent department psychic. His abilities are so strong that he is ranked by the department as a "paragon". That is to say that his abilities make him superhuman. He is easily the most powerful member of the team although not even he can read Ursula's thoughts. His psychokinetic abilities are capable of moving around tons of mass, deflect bullets and, if he so chooses, he can fly at just below the speed of sound. His extrasensory abilities are on a par with any comic-book hero. He can, for instance, simulate x-ray vision by projecting his visual perception through a solid barrier.
Dictionary is 40, caucasian, brown hair, brown eyes. 5 foot 9. Goatee beard. Looks a bit like Derren Brown, a simularity that he fosters.
Dictionary is a loyal friend and trusted team member. He remains steadfast to his friends, team and the department through all adversity.
"Icarus", Junior Officer Gerald Greene. Icarus is a Benedanti, a 'psychic' whose abilities allow him to project himself into the "dreamscape" or "dreamlands", the combined subconscious of humanity, while asleep. Benedanti can manipulate the fabric dream world and that of their own dream-forms. The best are practically omnipotent. However whatever happens in a dream stays in the dream. The only lingering effects are those in the minds of the dreamers. Icarus is also a decent field agent in his own right without his paranormal ability and can handle himself quite well.
He is 36, broadly built, but not overweight. He has blue eyes and curly brown hair and is of mixed parentage (that is to say his mother is Afro-Caribbean).
Icarus is always trying to prove himself and can be slightly erratic if pushed. But he is a loyal friend and team mate. However he can go off on his own if he thinks he can accomplish more.
He was demoted earlier this year after an addiction to caffeine impacted his work.
He may also have been responsible for he and Hermione going missing while undercover.
Brother Luke, Simon Steinolfsson. Brother Luke is a theurge with Cestus Dei. A theurge is someone who does magic through prayer. Cestus Dei is a secret part of the Catholic church that battles supernatural evil. If Luke were a D&D character he'd be a Cleric. Yes he can magically heal wounds. He's also a talented martial artist who can shoot like Chow Yun Fat (that is with a gun in each hand).
Luke is 30, 6 foot 1 with muscles on his muscles. He is Icelandic. He looks like a Viking with short hair. He dresses in normal street clothes.
Luke is a quiet contemplative man, with a good ear and a strong, compassionate, sense of right and wrong.
Equipment Ursula carries a government issue Glock. Brother Luke has a pair of SIG-Sauer SIG-Pro .40SW. The rest of Team Remiel carry FN Five-seveN pistols. They all have exotic and esoteric rounds for their firearms (magnetic monopole rounds seem moderately effective against Slendy).
Everyone except Ursula and Luke have cutting edge mobile phones that seem to functions as yet unavailable to the general public. This includes as working as a mobile hand scanner that makes a noise a lot like "widdly woo" when in use; although there are a variety of wireless specialist probes used for chemical or biological analysis.
Team Remiel can be used as the cavalry or a hiderance. They'll be investigating Slenderman activity and looking to detain and question and proxies they encounter. If you plan to use them let me know so I can write a report from their perspective.
Don't do anything too lasting to them. I need them hale and hearty for next summer.
EDIT: I just discovered that Hermione and Icarus are having a relationship they're keeping secret. That could be problematic.
EDIT 2: Characters withdrawn as Slenderman was slain in the multiverse of the Department.

| Is it still considered a cameo if he does something sort of kind of plot relevant? Either way, Omega makes an appearance in the most recent post of Sneaky, tricksy Ridleyses. I hope that - Spoiler:
Ridley figuring out who it is and referencing his posts on Slenderia (and referencing Omega's other cameos)
wasn't too out of line or anything, but it seemed like something Ridley would do anyway. | |

On the flipside, Baker Street Regulars are always around, doing assignments or this or that. Cafe is always free to have people stop in, just drop me a line. c: And ona truly open source note, Richard Battle is going to simply be roaming soon. Feel free to have a shell-shocked badass red-haired young man show up and do shit. ... and aside from my apparent lack of eloquence, that is all I have to say. <3

| I'd like to offer forward Jean and the Church of the Last, both from Vivere Disce (and also Stuff and Nonsense) Jean is only usable in London, unless she's looking for a book. She's cynical, will offer minimal aid and advice, and give one a room for the night. She's a drug-addled alcoholic chain-smoker at this point, and doesn't really care about anything. There's a glimmer of compassion in her still; she'll stick a leg out for a Runner, but no more than that, and she's happy to give books to people who she thinks will need them. If a character needs cryptic advice or an obscure book, feel free to use her. No killing or anything too drastic though. The Church of the Last is a large and sprawling organization, but is about as organized as conventional Christianity. There are different sects and different people within each sect, all bringing about their goals in different ways. It's a family organization; they do picnics, and youth clubs, and have friendly illustrated Bibles. Their main commonality is this; the Slender Man will bring about the end of the world, and soon. Most members of the Church want to help make it happen. It's been around for centuries in one form or another, and has become very good at covering its own tracks, when they aren't already covered up. | |

| Alright! The first time "Omega" "dies" is nearing in my blog (link in my sig), so I'll offer up something as open source. Because every mythology needs an underworld. I offer up my interpretation of the afterlife(s), as I have defined partially in a couple of posts on my blog. First post and second post. Hell, Makai, and Heaven. Devils, Demons, and Spirits. As (in-char) I am just a human (ending in-char), for the sake of the open source version, you may do whatever you want with the whole "deities can't touch this world" thing. You can claim it false, you can ignore it, you can prove it; do whatever you want. There are only two things that you may not, under any circumstances, change. 1: The Four Elder/Greater/Ruling Spirits are Luck, Fate, Athena (yes, that Athena), and Lucia. All are female, Luck is the only friendly one (and she is more cryptic than most people can handle), Luck and Fate have roles defined by their names, Athena is the "Reaper of Death", Lucia is the "Lady of Life". There are only four of them. 2: The Shepherd of the Dead. He was a dragon-clan Demon. He was male. He is not going to show up at your doorstep because he is (for all anyone knows) dead. One last thing: the title of Shepherd of the Damned can be used by one, and only ONE, person. I am not claiming the title in-game, but I reserve the right to keep it on the Slendernation forums. I'm sorry if I came off a little harsh, but those two facts need to be absolutely 100% concrete for my story to proceed exactly as planned, and I will be very angry if anyone changes either aspect. | |

| Not really a character, but an event your characters may have heard about in the news. The massacre at The Gepetto corporation in Chicago. At 11 AM a delivery man found everyone who was at work that day laying in the lobby brutally dismembered. It even looked like they had bravely tried to defend themselves with office supplies. The media reports are speculating that the drug cartels are involved. On the other hand, readers of To Light a Candle are familiar with a drunken rambling account of what really happened.
